Compress images in PowerPoint 2007
PowerPoint presentations can be larger than expected at times, especially ones that include many photos and images. At times like this reducing the size of the images is a good idea. This reduces the size of your presentation, making it easier to email, and easier for computers to run.
So let’s get started!
Step 1. Click on the image that you would like to reduce the size of. If you have multiple images, that’s fine click any of them.
Step 2. A new option will become available to you Format, click on it.
Step 3. Go to the Compress Pictures option
Step 4. This will open a new window.
If you would like to only compress the image you choose in step 1, tick the option “Apply to selected pictures only”, then go to options
If you would like to compress all images in the presentation then go options
Step 5. Choose Email (96 ppi), the reason for choosing this option is because of the options available, this one will reduce your images by the largest margin. There will be a slight drop in quality but the difference from the Screen (150 ppi) is minuscule.
Hit Ok twice and you’re done!
